At Ease needs more members and volunteers in all areas

At Ease is a free advisory, counselling and information service for members of the armed forces and their families.

At Ease has no paid staff – all the work is done by members who are unpaid volunteers.

Volunteer:

AT EASE needs reliable, conscientious, first responders who may be from any area in the UK. They will be work from their own homes as part of a small team answering enquiries by email and phone calls to a weekly helpline.

Local Volunteers are needed in all areas who will not have regular duties but will (after induction) be able to give occasional help and support to people in the armed forces who live in their area. This might include interviewing clients, making hospital or custody visits or observing courts marshal, inquests etc.

Experienced At Ease speakers are available to visit any area on request to conduct training sessions or to provide information about OUR work.

At Ease especially welcomes offers of help from families or former members of the armed forces. Ask us about our meetings in London, Glasgow and other areas.

Membership: A Committee runs matters on a week-to-week basis, but all fully paid up members have the right to influence policy at our Annual General Meeting. Enquiries about membership should be made in the first instance by email to info@atease.org.uk. Two references are required. An annual subscription is due in July. Read more...
